Do you need a grant to fund your next SUDC research project?
Our 2024 grant call is now closed and we look forward to announcing funded projects soon. We expect to have another open call for applications in 2026.
For further information, please see below or contact Nikki Speed, SUDC UK CEO nikki@sudc.org.uk
SUDC UK will consider applications that align with SUDC UK’s Research Strategy.
SUDC UK will only fund research which will
- Contribute towards the prevention of SUDC
- Accelerate the change which will enable children to live with a reduced risk of SUDC
We provide grants of up to £250,000 for projects of up to 3 years, but also welcome applications for smaller projects and co-funding. In addition, we currently have £85,000 ringfenced which must just be spent on UK-based research that is recommended by our research review panel. Please be realistic and request a level and duration of funding that is appropriate to your proposed activities.
Eligibility and application process
All applications will be assessed by an expert Research Review Panel in line with our application process which is described in the handbook below. SUDC UK is an introductory member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and aims to adhere to their research management guidance and follow their principles of expert review: proportionality, independence, diversity, rotation, impartiality and transparency.
